No Doubt Racing NASCAR 2003 Official Rule Book

 

1.   General Rules

 

      A.  Admins are in control at all times, the decision of the admins is final.

 

      B.   There is to be no teams or partnerships of any kind until future notice.

 

      C.  Drivers are to be in their own cars at all times in the server under league conditions.

 

      D.  No Doubt Racers may race in other leagues if they ask for approval, or are already running in another league.

 

      E.   All polls are to view member opinions and are not necessarily what is going to happen; the final decision is up to the admins.

 

      F.   If a driver comes in the server late or misses a significant amount of laps in the race, he will be black flagged, and parked.  No points will be given to this driver and the driver will also not be credited for a start.

 

      G.  Any member not an admin must sign into the server in a league race with the racers password, only admins may be in the server during league conditions with the admin password.

 

      H.  Admins may do what is necessary in order to make the competition fair and better.

 

2.   Paint Schemes

 

      A.  Numbers

 

            1.   There has to be a number located on both sides of the car near the driver and passenger door areas.

 

            2.   A number has to be placed on the roof facing the infield.

 

            3.   The right headlight and taillight has to have a small number located on it.

 

      B.   Driver and Team Identification

 

            1.   The initials of the team can be put on the left front headlight.

 

            2.   The drivers name or alias must be above both driver and passenger windows.

 

            3.   A small team decal may be located on the sides or deck lid of the car.

 

      C.  Sponsors

 

            1.   All numbers and sponsors must be registered before every season; they will be on a first come first serve basis.

 

            2.   Cars with multiple sponsors can not have sponsors that contradict each other. Example: If your primary sponsor is Wal-Mart, you cannot have Target as a secondary sponsor.

 

            3.   All cars must have the same contingencies as NASCAR, meaning your car should look like it could run on the NASCAR Circuit.

 

      D.  A paint scheme may be rejected if it does not meet these requirements.

 

3.   Approval

 

      A.  Driver approval to run in the league or a top series is at the discretion of the admins.

 

4.   Qualifying

 

      A.  There is to be no chatting during qualifying, this is so drivers can have their full attention on their laps. Breaking this rule will get you ejected from the server.

 

      B.   If a driver fails to make it in the server before qualifying is over they will not be able to race.

 

      C.  After qualifying is complete no drivers are allowed to talk until an admin declares everyone is done and the session is over.

 

5.   Drivers Meeting

 

      A.  Drivers Meeting will take place in the first few minutes of Happy Hour.

 

      B.   No one is to get in their car at this time.

 

      C.  Any off topic chatting at this time may get you ejected.

 

      D.  Any new material can be brought up at this time.

 

      E.   Any and all pre-race material and criteria will be covered at this time.

 

      F.   Everyone must be present for the drivers meeting.  Failure to do so will result in a 25 point penalty.

 

6.   Race

 

      A.  Any changed race info will be posted at least one day before the event, unless some unfortunate circumstance has arrived.

 

      B.   There will be no complete restarts in a league race after the green flag has dropped, unless agreed upon by the admins.

 

      C.  If a driver gets disconnected, he will receive all but one lap that he has completed before getting disconnected back.

 

      D.  All races will be run with realistic weather, damage, and hardcore driving aids.

 

      E.   Other race information will be determined season by season, and displayed in the Seasonal Rules.

 

7.   Cautions

 

      A.  When a caution comes out whomever caused it has to put a “c”, meaning caution, in the race chat.

 

      B.   Once a person causes three cautions he has to park or will get ejected.

 

      C   If a driver intentially causes someone to wreck they will be penalized, if the trend continues, they may be suspended.

 

      D   If a driver intentially causes a caution to his or anyone else’s benefit they will be penalized.

 

      E    Admins have the ability to throw a caution whenever a situation arrives that a caution is needed to sort things out.

 

8.   Lucky Dog

 

      A.  The lucky dog is to keep pitting under yellow, and speed in the pits to insure they start at the end of the longest line.

 

      B.   The lucky dog must pit with the lapped down cars, and start at the end of the longest line.

 

      C.  If the lucky dog gets a black flag of his own doing under caution he will not receive the lucky dog.

 

      D.  There will be no lucky dog within ten laps to go in a race.

 

9.   Points

 

      A.  Points will be determined on a season to season basis, and can be found in the Seasonal Rules.

 

10. Fun Races

 

      A.  There is to be no restarts after the green flag is flown for the start of the race.

 

      B.   The Bosses and Admins are in control at all times.

 

      C.  When racing a public server, there is to be no horse play or any kind of action to down play the respectability of the league as a whole.

 

      D.  If anyone resets the race trying to leave the server they will be suspended from the server for a certain amount of time.

 

      E.   If fun races start to get out of hand the server can be shut down for all events except for league races for a certain amount of time.

 

      F.   If any of these rules are broken the server will be shut down for the night.

 

11. Entry List

 

      A.  All drivers must enter themselves into the proper entry list 30 minutes before practice starts.

 

      B.   If you fail to enter yourself into the race you will be forced to not qualify and start at the end of the field.

 

      E.   This feature is for communication.  If you give us some sort of knowledge prior to the race, then you may be excused from infraction, but the final decision lays in the admins hands.

 

      F.   If a driver cannot connect to the forum for some reason.  The guestbook on the website can be used for an alternate Entry List.

 

12. Chase Rules

 

      A.  Rules for making the chase and points in the chase will be wrote in the Seasonal Rule Book

 

13. Petitions

 

      A.  A driver or member may petition a race, or call by and admin within 48 hours of the proposed incident, after this 48 hour period any petition is void.

 

      B.   There are to be three admins involved in every petition.

 

         1.   The first admin is to be the admin that made the call or was moderating the race at which the possible infraction took place.

 

         2.   The second admin is to be on the opposing side; taking the side of the person who claims the infraction.

 

         3.   The third admin is to act as a mediator and will no matter what act as an un-biased opinion toward both sides.

 

   C.  The three admins together will decide the ruling, and will go by the Rule Book to do so.

 

      D.  The penalty of the infraction must be decided upon by all three admins.

 

      E.   If all three admins are not available then two admins can render a decision.

 

      F.   If all admins are involved in petition three non biases racers can be chosen to render a decision.

 

14. New Members/Rookies

 

      A.  All new members must register their car number, sponsor, and car make before racing.

 

      B.   All rookies must do at least one minor series before moving up to a major series.

 

      C.  If an admin feels a rookie, or any other driver is not ready to move up to the major series then he may be held there until the admin feels appropriate.

 

15. Post Race Review

 

      A.  Any infraction revealed under post race review may be penalized.

 

16. Pit Road

 

      A.  All drivers must be single file during the entry of pit road under caution and green flag conditions.

 

            1.   Drivers do not have to be single file on entry but as soon as possible before each driver reaches his pit stop he must be single file.

 

            2.   This means there is no passing on pit road on entry after the pit in line.

 

            3.   This does not mean that drivers have to stay single file on exit, on exit passing can be made. (If you do not understand this rule please feel free to ask.)

 

      B.   If there is an access lane entering and exiting pit road, it will be gone over in the drivers meeting where to merge in and out of the pits.

 

17. Boundaries

 

      A.  At all restrictor plate tracks, mod depending, there is to be no passing below the yellow line, if you do you must give the position back or get a black flag.

 

      B.   At road courses if you go off the track to improve your time or position you will get a black flag if you do not slow down and give the position back.

 

18. Penalties

 

      A.  Penalties for on and off track violations are very different.

 

      B.   For on track violations points and laps can be taken away.

 

      C.  Probation with or without censorship can be for on or off track violations.

 

      D.  Banishment with full league vote can be for on or off track violations.

 

19. Amendment Rule

 

      A.  All new rules will be posted in this section for one week, and then moved to the appropriate section after one week.

 

      B.   All rules are subject to change at any time.

      A   COT Series

 

            1.   Race Length will be 40%.

 

            2.   2X Pit Frequency.

 

            3.   Realistic weather.

 

            4.   60 minute practice and 15 minute happy hour.

 

            5.   Full Pace lap and Double File Restarts.

 

            6.   Cautions on

 

            7.   Points will be same as NASCAR.

 

            8.   Open setups

 

            9.   Practice starts at 7:30pm est.

 

 

      B.  Aero88 Series

 

            1.   Race Length will be 30%.

 

            2.   2X Pit Frequency.

 

            3.   Realistic weather.

 

            4.   60 minute practice and 5 minute happy hour.

 

            5.   Full Pace lap and Double File Restarts.

 

            6.   Cautions on.

 

            7.   Points will be custom.

 

            8.   Fixed setups

 

            9.   Practice starts at 7:30pm est.

 

 

      C.  Craftsman Truck Series

 

            1.   Race Length will be 30%.

 

            2.   2X Pit Frequency.

 

            3.   Realistic weather.

 

            4.   60 minute practice and 15 minute happy hour.

 

            5.   Full Pace lap and Double File Restarts.

 

            6.   Cautions on.

 

            7.   Points will be same as NASCAR.

 

            8.   Open setups.

 

            9.   Practice starts at 7:30pm est.

 

 

      D.  Whelen Modified

 

            1.   Race Length will be various.

 

            2.   1X Pit Frequency.

 

            3.   Realistic weather.

 

            4.   60 minute practice and 10 minute happy hour.

 

            5.   Full Pace lap and Double File Restarts.

 

            6.   Cautions on.

 

            7.   Points will be same as NASCAR

 

            8.   Fixed setups

 

            9.   Practice starts at 7:30pm est.

 

 

      E.  Late Model Series

 

            1.   Race Length will be 25%, with some various.

 

            2.   4X Pit Frequency with some exceptions.

 

            3.   Fixed weather.

 

            4.   30 minute practice and 5 minute happy hour.

 

            5.   Full Pace lap and Double File Restarts.

 

            6.   Cautions on.

 

            7.   Points will be same as NASCAR.

 

            8.   Fixed setups

 

            9.   Practice starts at 7pm est.
